In the tarot, the queen card of each suit represents highly developed feminine energies. Tarot queens understand and demonstrate the qualities of intuition, creativity, nurturing, and receptivity. Each queen embodies all of the innate aspects of her suit, which she has mastered through a lifetime of service to others, and through her own quest for personal growth and maturity. As a result of this lifelong commitment to inner development, queens are highly developed, and nurture others through the deep connection they have with their inner resources. Here are two examples for us to consider.
The Queen of Pentacles is grounded. She is the queen of the earthly realm, and demonstrates positive compassionate qualities to all those within her kingdom. This gracious queen understands the importance of harmony with the natural world, while also bringing a deep knowledge of the divine into the world that she encompasses. The Queen of Pentacles expresses her highly developed understanding of others through love, kindness, caring, and beauty. She is considered a high soul, who represents the finest qualities of the Divine Mother.

The Queen of Swords is a master of clear thinking and logic, and she brings that perceptive thinking to any situation she encounters. She is a natural leader, and rules with inner strength and courage. She boldly faces any impediments that challenge her ability to create positive results. Her sword is always at hand to cut through confusion, insecurity, and fear. Although she appears to be aloof, she is not. The Queen of Swords abides in a realm of mental clarity that few can achieve, and her vast wisdom sets her apart. Still, she remains dedicated to the welfare of others, and her deep perception allows her always to find the most discriminating path.
